Hellenic Coffee An inseparable component of our culture, Greek coffee is found in all aspects of life. From marital ceremonies, to religious, socio- cultural and everyday life. Greek/Turkish Coffee has bound cultures, from the coasts of the Aegean (Hellenic Coffee) to the inner mountains and plains of the Middle East (Turkish and Arabic Coffee). It is more than a simple warm drink, but a ritual of proper preparation and balanced presentation that is so empowering. Traditionally Greek Coffee has been flavoured with fruity aromas (dried fruits) and intricate spices (cinnamaon, cardamon), in order to enhance its delicateness. Color and Taste both vary in intensities from the north to the south regions of Greece, and from island to island; depending on the particular tastes of the region, by varying roasting and blending methods. Our coffee is named ‘Polìtikos‘, originating from Pόlis (Konstantinople), and is prepared in three standard roasts/blends: i. Kafé Polìtikos Xanthòs (Lite Roast) ii. Kafé Polìtikos Paràdosi (Medium Roast) iii. Kafé Polìtikos Skoùros (Dark Roast) |
