OUR Honey

The particularity of Greece’s landscape and long sunshine periods accounts for the richness and variety of its flora.  For that reason  PERTORQUEO's  Honey  is unique, with specific physical and chemical characteristics.  PERTORQUEO  is proud to produce a variety of raw honeys, ensuring an eclectic gourmet level of quality and integrity.  Our honeys are raw, unfiltered, decanted, non-pasteurized and kosher.  In order to maintain the highest level of taste and nutrition, we do not heat our honeys for packaging. 

Our Raw Unfiltered Honeys will crystallize slowly over time [with the exception to Vanilla-Fir Honey].  When the honey starts to crystallize (noted by a white appearance) simply put the jar in a pot of warm water (never over 30 oC) for a few hours.  The honey will return to its normal state, good as new, and will last another couple of months before crystallization.   Honey is water resistant so it never goes bad.

Each category of honey has its own peculiarities and characteristics that make it distinguishable.
